It is a popular rice variety that is widely grown It is age-old rice native to Tamil Nadu. It is one of the exotic and expensive rice varieties used to make Pulao and Biryani, especially for feasts. It has high fiber and anti-oxidants which helps to remove free radicals from the colon and intestine.
Rinse 1 cup of Seeraga Samba rice in a pot of water for 15-20 minutes. Add 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of Seeraga Samba rice. Bring the water to a boil, add the rice and simmer it for about 15-20 minutes until the rice absorbs all of the liquid. Finally, remove from heat and let the rice sit undisturbed for 5 minutes.
